Discovery’s Studio Tours, Retail, and eCommerce businesses. This role is accountable for shaping the long-term technology strategy, delivering enterprise grade platforms, and ensuring operational excellence across a multibillion dollar global portfolio. Reporting to the SVP, Global Monetization & Studio Technology, the VP serves as a strategic partner to senior business leadership and is directly responsible for technology capabilities that drive guest experience, revenue generation, and operational efficiency across all owned & operated locations, licensees, and joint ventures. Your Role Accountabilities Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership Define and lead the multi‑year technology strategy aligned to Tours & Retail growth, profitability, and global expansion goals Serve as a trusted advisor to senior WBD executives, ensuring technology decisions directly support P&L performance and ROI expectations Provide clear, structured communication on priorities, risks, trade-offs, and progress to executive stakeholders Product-Led Technology Strategy & Roadmap Ownership Own the global product and platform roadmap spanning ticketing, retail systems, payments, guest engagement, supply chain, fulfillment, and operations technology Prioritize and deliver initiatives based on business value, scalability, and security Ensure platforms remain modern, integrated, compliant, and high performing across all business models worldwide Transformation & Continuous Improvement Lead modernization efforts to reduce technical debt, simplify the ecosystem, strengthen reliability, and unlock new revenue and efficiency opportunities Oversee global operational rigor, performance insights, and data driven investment decisions Drive digital transformation and operating model redesigns that position Global Tours & Retail for long-term competitiveness and success Promote iterative delivery, continuous learning, and measurable improvement across global teams Financial Stewardship & Operational Excellence Oversee OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring disciplined investment prioritization, accurate forecasting, and ROI aligned decisions Optimize cost, reliability, and scalability across platforms, programs and resources Maintain stable, secure, high performing global systems that support 24/7 consumer facing operations Use performance insights and operational metrics to guide resource allocation, optimization, and long-term planning Maintain strong operational rigor and ensure stable, secure, high performing systems worldwide Global Team Leadership & Organizational Development This executive establishes governance and KPIs across ad tech, affiliate, and scheduling platforms to track reliability, latency, and delivery performance. They ensure engineering execution meets enterprise standards for security, resiliency, and compliance, guaranteeing that WBD’s technology foundation is optimized to support advertising, affiliate, and scheduling business growth Lead a large global technology organization across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, including internal and external workforce teams Build product led delivery capability, strengthen engineering excellence, and develop internal talent pipelines in product management, agile practices, user‑centered design and outcome driven execution to reduce long-term vendor dependency Foster a unified, inclusive, high accountability culture grounded in global alignment, transparent communication, and shared business impact Qualifications and Experience Numerous years of senior leadership experience in the media or technology sector, with a proven record of credibility, strategic vision, and executive presence Extensive experience in media and entertainment, including exposure to technology supporting Studio Tours, Theme Parks, Attractions, Retail Stores, eCommerce and/or Retail supply chain Demonstrated success leading complex, high impact programs; strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and sound judgment in high ambiguity environments Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, effectively influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating across diverse teams and functions Skilled in organizational leadership, operational discipline, and guiding teams through shifting priorities in fast paced environments Expertise in financial stewardship, including cost estimation, ROI analysis, and prioritizing large‑scale technology investments Deep understanding of modern software development practices (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and the ability to guide teams in selecting and applying appropriate methodologies Strong technology acumen with a demonstrated commitment to staying current on emerging industry and technology trends Effective vendor and partner management; experienced in negotiating and overseeing service agreements Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior executives and translating complex technical topics for varied audiences Bachelor’ or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data & Analytics) or equivalent experience How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important! Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $234,360.00 - $435,240.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
