Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Reports to Plant Manager and is responsible for the oversight of Shipping Department and the supervisory functions relating to planning, organizing, and leading a team to accurately load finished goods and other products to meet department objectives. Provides direct and indirect supervision over multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and direct individuals and teams to meet stated company objectives in loading accuracy and productivity.
  • Provide performance feedback, positive encouragement, and issue discipline as needed.
  • Assign employees to correct location based on priorities and to prevent deviations from shipping schedules.
  • Provide root cause analysis for issues that arise during shift.
  • Report KPI's for their shift daily, and weekly, to plant management group.
  • Balance the level of labor cost and productivity requirements during assigned
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness and organization in the shipping and truck dock areas including the outside trailer apron.
  • Maintains a safe working environment including ensuring trailer wheel chocks and dock safety chains are in place and maintained in good condition.
  • Oversee other routine housekeeping as required.
  • Ensure and maintain accurate multisite warehouse inventories, reports, and correct any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all incoming shipments are processed and received in a timely manner.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and order raw materials as needed for production.
  • Performs any other tasks as may be assigned by the Plant Manager or Production Manager.
  • Assist in related department activities and perform related duties, as required.


Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years proven experience as a lead or production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of raw and finished product specifications
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision - self starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
