Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Virtual Network Security Architect and Firewall Management Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto Networks firewalls, and VPN/IDS/IPS solutions, along with a strong understanding of modern cybersecurity architecture. This role requires a forward-thinking professional capable of creating scalable, resilient, and compliant network security frameworks that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement secure enterprise network infrastructures for global operations.

  • Manage and optimize next-generation firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) to ensure high availability, throughput, and protection.

  • Configure and maintain VPNs, DMZs, routing, and segmentation to meet security and performance objectives.

  • Conduct firewall policy reviews, rule optimization, and threat mitigation to maintain compliance and performance standards.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and incident response coordination.

  • Collaborate with IT, cloud, and application teams to design secure network connectivity for hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Monitor and respond to network security alerts, investigating anomalies and developing proactive threat mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture, topology, and configuration baselines.

  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and processes to strengthen the companys security posture.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, CISSP, or CEH preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, intrusion prevention systems, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet products.

  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust architectures, Network Access Control (NAC), and Cloud Security Frameworks.

  • Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ELK) and endpoint detection tools.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security architecture, firewall management, and security operations.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale enterprise or hybrid cloud network environments.

  • Experience leading or contributing to incident response, security audits, and compliance initiatives is highly desirable.

Working Hours
