A day in the life of a Manager, Digital Operations at Vans looks a little like this. This position supports the day to day operation of the Vans AMER eCom department, with daily interactions with the merchandizing, catalog, digital technology (DT) and retail operations team. The Manager, Digital Operations will be the SME of all touchpoints within the Vans digital platform, inclusive of all services and applications utilized by the eCom team. This position reports into the Director, Digital Operations.

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  1. Partner with stakeholders across the Vans brand & commercial business to build out priorities, road maps and business cases for platform, feature and functionality enhancements.
  2. Partner with the VF Digital & Technology organization to align on priorities & roadmaps, and serve as the primary Vans lead to deliver agreed upon enhancements (requirements gathering, testing, training, project management, etc.)
  3. Act as the QA owner for major feature and key projects released to the production environment.
  4. Serve as the Vans' super user across our website technology stack; supporting the training & upskilling of our eCommerce teams.
  5. Support the eCommerce executional teams with bug resolution & escalation as needed; report out on ticket themes & trends for proactive triaging of larger issues.
  6. As the second in line to the Director of Digital Operations, be available to ensure continuous business operations of our websites, 24/7

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8-10 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Experience with eCommerce platform such as Salesforce, with primary focus on promotion, catalog management and order management.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, agile methodology and production incident management.
  • Ability to configure and manage site A/B testing and personalization tools, providing continuous support to A/B testing initiatives.
  • Understanding of data feed, help maintain the hygiene of the data distributed across multiple channels.
  • Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, confluence, Google Analytics, and experience with third party vendor services such as Optimizely and Cloudinary.
  • Demonstrating ability to leverage technology to solve business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, be able to translate complex technical jargons into simple narrative.
  • A proven team player, you will have to collaborate with people to win together!

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience in web development, knowledge in JavaScript, CSS, HTML and SQL.
  • Experience working with content management system, preferably in Coremedia.
  • Experience managing external agencies.

Hiring Range: $96,600.00 USD - $120,750.00 USD annually Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
