Sales Associate w/ Notary & Live Scan Opportunity

Description:
The UPS Store in Riverside is hiring a Sales Associate who will grow into additional responsibilities as a Notary Public and Live Scan Roller. This is not just a possibility—it’s an expectation. Candidates must be willing and able to pursue both certifications as part of their training:

  • Live Scan Roller certification is expected within the first 3 weeks of employment
  • Notary Public commission is expected within the first 3 months

Must be able to pass a California state background check (required for Notary Public and Live Scan certification). These checks are fairly strict—please only apply if you are confident you can qualify.

Compensation:

  • Starting at $17.50/hour
  • Additional pay per Live Scan fingerprinting and Notary service performed
  • Bonus structure begins once required certifications are completed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally
  • Process retail transactions (shipping, mailbox, print, fax, etc.)
  • Operate POS, copier, laminator, and other in-store equipment
  • Answer questions and offer best-value solutions for customers
  • Maintain sales records and inventory accuracy
  • Assist with returns and ensure proper merchandise presentation

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Available weekdays and weekends
  • Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift
  • Basic math skills (inventory, cash drawer handling)
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior retail experience
  • Experience with customer complaints or conflict resolution
  • Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and shipping software
  • Willing to work occasional overtime
