<p><strong style="font-weight: bold">Job Description:</strong></p> <div class="col align-items-center job-location-below-des"> <p><strong><i class="fa-solid fa-location-dot"></i> Location:</strong> Slatersville, Rhode Island</p> </div> <table border="0" cellspacing="2" style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial"> <tr> <td> <p>Tool Room Manager – 1st Shift (Direct Hire) | Slatersville, RI</p> <p> We are seeking an experienced Toolroom Manager to lead and oversee the full operation of our Toolroom within a high-volume injection molding environment. This on-site, first-shift, direct-hire position is responsible for tooling performance, maintenance planning, team leadership, and cross-department collaboration to support overall production efficiency and product quality.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p> <p> Manage all daily Toolroom operations, ensuring cavitation goals, downtime targets, and expense controls are consistently met.<br /> Monitor the Mattec system to track presses down for mold repairs; assess mold conditions and determine corrective actions.<br /> Troubleshoot tooling issues on the shop floor and provide technical support to other departments; contribute to root cause analysis for tooling-related problems.<br /> Establish, maintain, and improve preventative maintenance systems for molds and related equipment.<br /> Oversee mold repairs, maintenance schedules, and continuous improvement of mold quality; assist Engineering with new mold construction and operational planning.<br /> Maintain mold configuration listings and evaluate Toolroom equipment needs.<br /> Work directly with Sales, Quality, Engineering, and Molding departments to resolve tooling issues and customer complaints.<br /> Lead, train, and supervise up to 15 Toolroom employees, including policy administration, time and attendance, job assignments, performance monitoring, and conducting reviews and career development planning.<br /> Participate in cross-functional meetings such as staff meetings, product design reviews, and tooling improvement sessions.<br /> Support cost-saving initiatives by reducing repair costs, minimizing unscheduled downtime, and improving overall efficiency.<br /> Track tool and machine repairs for budget justification and assist in preparing AFEs.<br /> Promote safety improvements within the Toolroom and ensure compliance with all company procedures and standards. </p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p><b>Desired Background/Skills:</b></p> <p> Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.<br /> Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training.<br /> Experience working with plastic injection molds required.<br /> Strong oral and written communication skills.<br /> Technical experience in injection molding and relevant tooling equipment.<br /> Supervisory/leadership experience required.<br /> Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.<br /> 2D/3D Drawings<br /> Experience with CNC Machines<br /> Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered. </p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <p><b>Other Information:</b></p> <p>Don’t miss out on this excellent opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team- apply with us today to get started!</p> <p> CoWorx is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive team.
