We are expanding our digital design team and seeking a creative, fast, and passionate Thumbnail Designer to enhance our visual storytelling.

Job Overview

The Thumbnail Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering high-impact thumbnails for YouTube, social media platforms, and digital news content. The ideal candidate must have a strong sense of design, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design eye-catching and click-worthy thumbnails for YouTube videos, news stories, and digital content.
Collaborate with the video editors, social media team, and journalists to understand the story angle and visual requirements.
Create consistent design templates aligned with the 4PM News brand identity.
Optimize thumbnails for various platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to maximize CTR (Click-Through Rate).
Edit and retouch photos when needed (cropping, color correction, cutouts, composites).
Stay updated with the latest design trends, pop culture, and news visuals.
Maintain an organized workflow and ensure timely delivery of all creative assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (mandatory); knowledge of Illustrator or Canva is a plus.
Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to create engaging, emotion-driven visuals that attract viewers.
Basic knowledge of news and trending topics, especially in digital journalism.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field.
Experience in designing thumbnails for YouTube channels, news, or entertainment platforms.
Familiarity with Hindi and English typography (advantage for regional news).
