The Opportunity:

The Release of Information (ROI) Operations Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable, compliance execution of Grow Therapy’s ROI operations. You will lead the ROI team’s day-to-day execution and performance, ensuring medical record requests are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. 

You’ll be part of a remote-friendly team, reporting into the Insurance Operations Department, and partnering closely with the ROI Operations Manager. This role is focused on operational excellence, team leadership, and KPI execution, translating direction into consistent daily performance that supports Grow Therapy’s growth and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead day-to-day ROI and HIM operations, ensuring consistent execution against defined KPIs
  • Monitor operational performance, backlog, turnaround times, and quality metrics
  • Drive operational improvements within existing workflows to improve KPI performance
  • Perform root-cause analysis on operational issues and escalate systemic findings with clear data and context
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health record privacy, HIPAA, and ROI best practices
  • Manage task assignment and capacity planning across W-2 and contract team members
  • Reinforce standard work, SOPs, and quality controls across daily operations
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and issue remediation
  • Lead the operational execution of special projects and pilots
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with RCM, Support, Tech, and Clinical Teams to implement

You'll Be A Good Fit If:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in ROI or HIM operations; behavioral health and multi-state experience preferred. Bonus if you’ve worked in high-growth or tech-enabled healthcare environments.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Strong working knowledge of HIPAA and behavioral health privacy requirements.
  • People Leadership: Experience coaching, supporting, or supervising team members and reinforcing accountability.
  • Operational Execution: Demonstrated ownership of KPIs, leveraging data to diagnose issues and execute targeted performance improvements.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to identify operational bottlenecks, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions.
  • Agile: You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environments, and you’re able to pivot as new priorities emerge.
  • Team Player: You’re collaborative by nature, relish in camaraderie and group wins, and are looked to by your colleagues as a steadfast partner and source of encouragement

Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt
Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $74,000–$84,000 USD Annually 
This is a remote role with the expectation to travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).
The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
