Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking a full-time summer nanny for our 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate is energetic, responsible, and enjoys planning engaging, hands-on activities with minimal screen time. An interest or background in youth education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include organizing daily activities, facilitating outdoor play, transporting the children to camps and activities (clean driving record required), and ensuring a safe, structured, and fun summer routine. Preparing lunches and snacks. Candidates must be comfortable with dogs and confident around large bodies of water, love of outside play / activities, indoor crafts, etc so there's minimial dependence on screens. Preferred candidates have early education experience and familiarity with the McFarland, Oregon area. 

Both parents work from home, and hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Compensation is flexible based on experience and hours can vary week to week between 30 and 40 hours depending on what's needed for both parties.  Starting Monday, June 22 through Friday, August 28.  

Part of the hiring process will be to meet with us and the kids, share references and do a shorter babysitting session prior to summer starting. 

Qualifications:

  • Reliable vehicle and safe driving record
