This role provides strategic direction, technical program management oversight, and enterprise integration across FedEx’s digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives.

The role brings a strong technical background and program management skillset to FedEx’s transformation programs, partnering closely with D&T executives, Enterprise Architecture, and senior business leaders. The successful candidate will define technical delivery roadmaps, manage cross-team dependencies, and provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and trade-offs. A key aspect of this position is driving change management and leveraging outstanding executive communication skills to ensure alignment and successful adoption of our digital transformation efforts. The role coordinates delivery across multiple technical domains (applications, platforms, data, and infrastructure), ensuring program plans are technically sound.

Essential Functions:

Technical Program Definition and Roadmap Development

  • Partner with D&T executives to define the technology roadmaps that enable business transformation programs, including scope, outcomes, success metrics, and integrated roadmaps.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure digital transformation and technology modernization work aligns with the approved future-state architecture and technology pillars.

Program Execution, Delivery Methods, and Technical Coordination

  • Lead the end-to-end technical program execution across multiple technical teams, ensuring milestones, sequencing, and critical path remain aligned to delivery commitments.
  • Apply technical program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, and or Waterfall as appropriate) to drive delivery rigor, accountability, and execution.
  • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and issues for the program; facilitate resolution and escalate with clear options and recommendations.
  • Maintain core technical program artifacts (integrated plan, dependency map, RAID log) to support delivery, governance, and executive visibility.
  • Drive technical dependency and integration risk reviews across teams; surface constraints early and recommend sequencing or scope adjustments.
  • Partner with delivery teams to define clear acceptance criteria and “definition of done” for key technical milestones to reduce rework and ensure consistency

Stakeholder Management and Executive Communication

  • Develop and build executive-ready presentations, materials, and recommendations for senior leadership forums.
  • Lead change management activities, partnering with stakeholders to ensure the smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Translate complex technical and program information into clear, compelling insights that enable timely and effective decisions.
  • Influence outcomes across business, technology, and portfolio leadership without direct authority.

Metrics, Reporting, and Value Tracking

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that track program benefits (value realization, process improvements, delivery outcomes) and support leadership decision-making.
  • Support resource planning, capacity discussions, and cost-to-achieve tracking in partnership with portfolio and finance stakeholders.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting technical programs or initiatives across multiple teams and functions.
  • Experience coordinating delivery across technical domains (applications, platforms, data, infrastructure) with strong dependency management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Proven experience in change management methodologies and leading large-scale organizational change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive communications, including crafting narratives and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital transformation or technology modernization programs.
  • Familiarity working with Enterprise Architecture and aligning delivery to future-state architecture and technology strategy.
  • Proficiency in technical program management tools and practices (Agile delivery, RAID management, governance cadence, executive reporting).
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics and data visualization tools; experience building dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
