We are seeking a Staff Accountant (Remote). This is a full time and direct hire role for one of our amazing healthcare partners in Florida, but they are open to remote candidates.


Overview:

This Staff Accountant that will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through general ledger management, treasury support, account reconciliations, and accounts payable processing. Experience with payroll processing is a strong plus. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.


Responsibilities:

General Ledger

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting

Treasury

  • Initiate and track electronic payments, transfers, and deposits
  • Monitor daily cash activity and bank balances
  • Prepare cash position reports and support cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with banking relationships and compliance documentation

Reconciliations

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform timely reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial data
  • Maintain organized documentation to support audit readiness

Accounts Payable

  • Ensure proper coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies
  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs
  • Maintain vendor records and support vendor inquiries
  • Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting

Payroll (Preferred)

  • Support payroll reconciliations and compliance reporting
  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll journal entries
  • Coordinate with HR on employee changes and payroll updates

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (Sage Intacct and NetSuite is a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
