About the opportunity

Operational Insight:
- Understand and analyze Distribution Center (DC) operations to bridge process requirements with technical solutions effectively.
- Translate DC team's process requirements into actionable technical task for DH and MSD vendor team

Technical Experience:
- Fulfill role of WMS knowledge expert for warehouse management system implementation through all project phases from requirements gathering/analysis through go-live support and hypercare.
- MSD WMS application experience is advantageous for navigating and implementing solutions
- Including understanding various modules like item inbounding, outbounding, and reporting.

Technical Vendor Collaboration:
- Work with 3rd-party WMS vendors to develop effective solutions, communicate feature requirements, stage testing, and conduct UAT Testing.
- Participate in integration meetings with technical teams to help determine specifications relative to integration mapping and product configuration.
- Assist in the development of test plans, data, and cycles to ensure that all requirements identified in the requirements gathering phase will be validated.

Documentation Proficiency:
- Have strong documentation skills, particularly in creating process and training documents.
- Develop SLAs and SOPs for feature usage, bug reporting, and system issues FAQs.
- Document any new applicable functional requirements as necessary for enhancements to core products to meet scope of proposed solution.
- Create and update training materials as needed.

DH System Integration:
- Work with DH product team to ensure seamless integration and alignment for new product development
- WMS Integration SME - Drive UAT/Go Live timelines and actual testing to ensure 3pl meets DH standards

Process Compliance:
- Ensure DC team follows correct processes in on-ground operations and MSD postings to avoid matching errors.
- Manage the slow/overstock and non-moving inventory through generated reports to limit any potential loss and report to the DC’s of inventory changes
- Analyze and investigate system transactions, inventory data entry etc to ensure overall accuracy

Launch new DCs:
- RFQ for 3PL vendors, vendor capability assessment
- Vendor Technical capability assessment for WMS
- Build DC projections on cost/capacity
- Finalize new DC 3PL Vendors in alignment with Local team


What you need to be successful

- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree is a requirement, but Master's degree is a plus
- 2-3 years of experience utilizing a major WMS platform such as MSD 360, Manhattan, etc.
- Extremely organized and process-driven; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and WMS applications, with hands on experience with Microsoft dynamics strongly preferred
- Analytical skill set demonstrated by an advanced proficiency in GSheet, MS Excel, Data studio
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Good stakeholder management skills across levels and functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
