Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Procurement COE drives enterprise-wide procurement excellence by leading governance, process optimization, and technology enablement. They ensure alignment with corporate objectives, support strategic sourcing initiatives, and lead the implementation and adoption of procurement tools and platforms.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Support the development and execution of the Procurement COE vision and operational standards.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align procurement strategies with enterprise transformation objectives.

Tool Implementation & Digital Enablement

  • Lead the deployment, enhancement, and optimization of procurement technologies, including orchestration, spend analytics, contract management, and purchasing platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure seamless system integration, data integrity, and scalability.
  • Drive user adoption through effective training, change management, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify and enable process efficiencies and automation to shift teams toward higher-value, strategic work.

Process Excellence

  • Maintain and evolve standardized sourcing and category management processes.
  • Develop and govern templates, playbooks, and frameworks that ensure compliance, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs and dashboards to track performance, savings, and value realization.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a consultative partner to Strategic Procurement, Finance, and cross-functional teams.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive value creation and mitigate risk.

Program Management

  • Lead and support governance of procurement transformation programs and indirect spend initiatives.
  • Drive large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including orchestration enablement and process modernization.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need

Strategic Leadership & Enterprise Alignment – Ability to support and execute a Procurement COE vision, align procurement capabilities with enterprise transformation goals, and translate strategy into scalable standards and operating models.

Procurement Technology & Digital Enablement – Deep experience leading the implementation, optimization, and adoption of procurement platforms (e.g., orchestration, spend analytics, contract management, purchasing tools), with a strong pulse on emerging technologies and automation opportunities.

Change Management & User Adoption – Proven ability to drive change through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working.

Process Excellence & Governance – Expertise in designing, standardizing, and governing sourcing and category management processes, including development of templates, playbooks, policies, and compliance frameworks.

Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making – Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage KPIs, dashboards, and spend data to track performance, savings, ROI, and value realization.

Program & Project Management – Demonstrated capability to lead large-scale procurement transformation programs, manage complex initiatives, and deliver results across multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence – Ability to act as a trusted, consultative partner to Strategic Procurement, Finance, IT, and business leaders; influence without authority and balance competing priorities.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement – Strong problem-solving mindset focused on improving people, process, and technology; ability to identify inefficiencies and design practical, scalable solutions.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management – Skilled at building and sustaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive value creation, manage risk, and support enterprise outcomes.

Innovation & Future-Oriented Thinking – Comfort challenging the status quo, thinking creatively, and continuously seeking better ways of working through new tools, trends, and procurement best practices.

Procurement Policy & Compliance Expertise – Solid understanding of sourcing policies, contract management, compliance requirements, and governance needed to operate effectively at enterprise scale.

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a COE or strategic procurement role. Retail or CPG experience preferred.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
