Apply now and energize your career with a true leader in the global energy transformation.<br><br>The Real Estate Specialist is responsible for carrying out assigned duties which support the Department’s responsibilities for buying, selling, and leasing property, as well as obtaining and managing easements and other property rights for the company. The Real Estate Specialist will also address concerns and issues that arise from customer inquiries, PUCO complaints, and special projects.<br><br><strong>Main Responsibilities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>At the direction of the Team Leader, obtains rights of way and easements for overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission lines.</li><li>May check property titles to determine ownership; negotiates easements and price to be paid; obtains appraisals and arranges payment to grantors.</li><li>May assist with land purchases for buildings and substations.</li><li>Provides support to Line Clearance on issues regarding property rights.</li><li>Researches and abstracts property records, including deeds, easements, licenses, etc., for engineering projects, staking tasks, and other assignments.</li><li>Oversee ROW contractors on transmission projects.</li><li>Oversee Survey contractors on transmission projects.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Education: A bachelor’s degree, or extensive experience in real estate, surveying or another related field.</li><li>Experience: 2- 5 years in real estate/right of way acquisition or a related field.</li><li>Skills: The Real Estate Specialist will have good communication skills and be particularly adept at explaining Company land use plans; The Specialist will also demonstrate good negotiating skills.</li><li>Certifications: Certifications related to the field of buying, selling, and leasing of property are a plus. <br><br></li></ul>AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
