Hy-Line North America is a global leader in poultry genetics, producing high-quality day-old chicks for egg-laying operations, supplying over 120 countries.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Spencer facility. This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs
  • Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Ensuring optimal environmental conditions for egg incubation and chick health
  • Participate in our on-call program, 1 week every other month, monetary incentive for participation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or food processing
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
