The ideal candidate knows it is essential to the effectiveness of the Distribution Center that materials are pulled quickly and presented properly for delivery to our customers. This individual appreciates that they are part of a team, and that their role as an integral member of this team is to fill complete and accurate orders so we can make the deliveries our customers require.

The hours will be 8:30 to 5:00 - Depending on experience, this person would be either building loads, receiving, loading, or acting as a floater filling in where needed. Position will work closely with distribution management to learn central dispatch. Duties consist of but are not limited to:

Scanning Sales orders, Journey Manifests, and Pick Tickets
Giving late Drivers and Pullers work to load and complete for the next day
Making sure all changes to pick tickets that come in from the yard are made and correct.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the stock building materials in our inventory, the layout and workflow of the warehouse, and material handling considerations including speed, efficiency, and safety.

In addition to these requirements, the load puller must be physically capable of performing all aspects of the job, and pass a fit for duty examination prior to employment and the ability to lift heavy loads without assistance. Load pullers must maintain optimum health and physical fitness as the job requires throughout their employment.

Must possess or be able to obtain a forklift license and Dot medical card according to Mass state requirements.
Need to communicate calmly and professionally when speaking with Customers, Salespeople and drivers when handling an issue called into dispatch.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and problem solve on the fly.
