The Senior Director, Operations Business Partner serves as the strategic, enterprise aligned partner and trusted advisor to the global Operations organization. This role provides end-to-end leadership across the full Operations value chain—including manufacturing, supply ‑chain and quality— to drive business value through deliberate, integrated application of digital, data, automation, and platform capabilities.

This role is not site specific and is designed to support CSL’s shift toward an integrated global Operations model. The Senior Director ensures Operations is represented consistently and effectively in enterprise digital forums, drives cross‑ Ops prioritization and investment alignment, and provides senior level leadership continuity across a wide and complex portfolio. This role will also advance CSL’s U.S. footprint by anchoring digital leadership tied to CSL’s major U.S. investment initiatives.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Enterprise portfolio prioritization and governance

  • Strategic partnership leadership

  • Alignment of I&T and Operations roadmaps

  • Stakeholder alignment and change leadership

  • Advancement of enterprise digital, data, and automation maturity

  • Ensuring delivery of capabilities that enable measurable business outcomes

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Enterprise level Operations leadership and stakeholder engagement

  • Develops deep knowledge of the full Operations organization and builds strong, trust based relationships across global functions.

  • Provides cross functional leadership to ensure consistent execution of digital, data, and automation strategy across regions, manufacturing sites, supply chain, quality, and engineering.

  • Serves as trusted advisor to senior Operations leaders, guiding the selection, adoption, and scaling of digital, data, and automation solutions to advance business outcomes.

  • Drives alignment across Operations and I&T stakeholders through integrated, enterprise aligned roadmaps.

  • Embeds an enterprise value mindset and ensures investments deliver measurable value.

2. Operational platform strategy, capability leadership, and service alignment

  • Ensures the definition, prioritization, and execution of the Operations platform roadmap—including enterprise platforms, data capabilities, automation, manufacturing digital tools, and supply chain technologies.

  • Aligns cross‑Ops needs tied to major enterprise initiatives such as ERP, Digital Ops governance, DAIA, supply chain harmonization, and enterprise data programs.

  • Ensures service partners deliver expected performance, availability, and capabilities to support business-critical Operations needs.

  • Ensures Operations priorities tied to CSL’s major U.S. investment programs are integrated and accelerated appropriately.

3. Senior leadership extension, enterprise decision making, and strategic partnerships

  • Acts as a senior extension of I&T leadership to provide portfolio oversight, adjudication, and continuity across the global Operations digital landscape.

  • Represents Operations in enterprise level digital, data, and technology forums, ensuring consistent engagement and alignment across competing functional priorities.

  • Leads strategic external and multi-enterprise collaborations—including oversight of partnerships such as the Operations workstream with Amazon—to ensure alignment with CSL’s digital and data strategy.

  • Influences the evolution of CSL’s future Operating Model through digital innovation and cross functional integration.

4. Portfolio governance, enterprise adjudication, and financial stewardship

  • Leads cross Operations digital portfolio governance, balancing and prioritizing competing demands across global functional areas.

  • Ensures portfolio transparency, tracks business value delivered, and manages fiduciary responsibility for the Operations digital portfolio.

  • Optimizes investments and resources to maximize enterprise value delivery and outcomes tied to CSL’s strategic priorities.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience within the commercial and digital or technology environment, demonstrating continued growth and span of experience
  • 10 years of experience delivering business solutions and/or technology platforms, with a strong focus on commercial related processes and solutions, including experience in regulated environments.
  • 10+ years of experience working as a business partner, directly engaging with business stakeholders to prioritize needs and requirements.
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience delivering solutions at a global enterprise scale
  • 5+ years of experience managing global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to form and manage strategic external partnerships.

Competencies:

  • Communication, leadership and management and team building skills to be expanded upon
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills, demonstrated ability articulate intents to business executive stakeholders
  • Practical experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to work across a range of countries and cultures
  • Proven ability to lead at an enterprise level, navigating and influencing across global matrix organizations
  • Experience adjudicating large, complex, multi‑stakeholder portfolios

* This role is based at our King of Prussia, PA office, and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite.
