As an Anaplan Architect and Builder within the FP&A team, you will play a crucial role in driving the implementation and ongoing optimization efforts of Anaplan solutions to support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes. This role requires a deep understanding of Anaplan platform capabilities, coupled with strong FP&A domain expertise. You will work closely with our Anaplan implementation partners to design and develop Anaplan models that meet the evolving needs of the organization. Subsequently, you will lead Anaplan optimization efforts for the FP&A Organization. Additionally, you will partner with the Anaplan teams in the Workforce Planning and Sales Planning teams and help build the foundation for a connected planning ecosystem. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with FP&A stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient Anaplan solutions that support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. • Collaborate closely with Anaplan implementation partners during the initial stages of Anaplan design, development, and testing, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices. Take a leadership role in subsequent phases by independently leading model development, enhancement, and the implementation of complex formulas and dashboards • Configure Anaplan platform settings, dimensions, and hierarchies to optimize performance and usability. Implement security controls, user roles, and permissions to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies. • Collaborate with data engineering & infrastructure teams to design and implement data integrations between Anaplan and other systems to ensure seamless data flow and consistency across platforms. • Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality, accuracy, and performance of Anaplan models. Conduct thorough testing of calculations, data inputs, and outputs to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies. • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to FP&A users, addressing any technical issues, questions, or concerns related to Anaplan functionality or data. • Develop training materials, documentation, and knowledge sharing sessions to empower users to leverage Anaplan effectively. • Stay informed about new Anaplan releases, features, and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance Anaplan models and processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and business value. • Partner with other internal Anaplan experts to create a community of practice (shared expertise) with ultimate goal of creating an Anaplan Center of Excellence (CoE) model at HubSpot Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications in Anaplan or FP&A are a plus. • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in FP&A and financial systems implementation with at least 5 years of experience in Anaplan development. • Deep understanding of Anaplan platform architecture, features, and capabilities, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining complex Anaplan models. • Proficiency in Anaplan modeling techniques, including list properties, line item subsets, time intelligence, and data exports. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively. • Experience with data integration tools and methodologies, such as Anaplan Connect, Informatica, or ETL processes. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making. • Expert level Excel/arenaflex sheets and foundational SQL knowledge • Programming experience and familiarity with Statistical tools and methods (R, Python) is a plus Cash compensation range: 138500-221600 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-arenaflex commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
