We are currently hiring Unarmed School Security Officers who will cultivate positive relationships with students.


Location: Abington, PA


Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour



Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday, first shiftSchedule includes after-school and occasional weekend events when required.This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalism, often taking up to 10,000 steps each shiftIncident Management and verbal de-escalationMonitors flow of traffic during pickup hoursStands for up to four hours per dayAct as First responder for emergenciesStands post at secondary locations as requiredIdentify and report suspicious activityCompletes daily activity reports and incident reports as requiredAccess Control

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, Military, or Corrections OfficerHigh School Diploma or GEDObtains required clearances for working in schoolAbility to complete all required training to work in schoolsReliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)Reliable means of transportation
