SAP Functional Consultant – Data Migration Specialist (PS, QM, MM, FICO, SD, PP, WM/EWM, PM) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in one SAP module (SD, PP, FICO, QM, MM/EWM, or PM) to play a key functional role in supporting SAP data migration activities. In this position, you will collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure accurate and timely migration of data into SAP S/4 HANA. You will leverage your functional expertise to guide data mapping, define transformation rules, and validate the migrated data in alignment with business requirements. Key Responsibilities • Blueprinting and Workshops: Collaborate with business users to gather and document requirements for data migration specific to your functional area (e.g., Finance, Sales, Production, Quality, Materials, or Maintenance). • Data Mapping and Transformation: • Define and document field mappings and transformation rules for migrating legacy data into SAP S/4 HANA. • Provide functional input to technical teams for data transformation and cleansing activities. • Data Validation and Quality Assurance: • Analyze legacy data for completeness and quality, and perform functional validation of migrated data to ensure it meets business expectations. • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, duplicates, or gaps during migration testing. • Testing and Issue Resolution: • Lead functional testing of migrated data, including integration testing with other SAP modules. • Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues in collaboration with technical and business teams. • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the data migration team, project managers, and other SAP module specialists to support migration timelines and deliverables. • User Support and Training: Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide training to business users on data migration processes and tools. Job Requirements • 5+ years of overall SAP experience, with expertise in one functional module. • 2+ years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4 HANA data migration projects. • Proven experience with data migration of master and transactional data in your module, such as: • SD: Sales Orders, Billing Data, and Delivery Records, or • FICO: G/L Accounts, arenaflex Centers, Profit Centers, Assets, or • PP: BOMs, Work Centers, and Production Data, or • QM: Inspection Plans, Quality Notifications, and Results, or • MM: Material Masters, Procurement Data, and Inventory, or • EWM: Warehouse Movements and Inventory Records, or • PM: Equipment Records, Maintenance Orders, and Notifications. • Technical Tools: Familiarity with data migration tools such as SAP BODS/IS, Syniti (BackOffice ADM/ADMM), or SAP S/4 HANA Migration Cockpit. • Ability to document migration requirements, field mappings, and transformation logic. Skills • Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of your SAP module, including relevant data structures and integration points. • Data Migration Knowledge: Understanding of data migration processes, data quality principles, and SAP best practices. • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve data-related issues efficiently. • Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to work across teams, bridging technical and business requirements. • Project Contribution: Experience working on large-scale SAP implementations or rollouts with a focus on data migration.
