The SAP Billing Systems and Transformation Manager provides strategic leadership for the SAP billing landscape, ensuring alignment with the company’s business and financial objectives while leading the SAP BRIM migration initiative.


Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of DHL eCommerce Americas’ SAP BRIM migration initiative - including planning, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Act as the primary regional contact for global SAP teams and external implementation partners, ensuring alignment with global templates and governance standards
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables that align with BRIM’s Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Mediation (CM), Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI), and FICA modules
  • Oversee data migration strategy from SAP SD to BRIM platform, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance
  • Plan and execute the customer migration strategy from SAP SD to BRIM platform to ensure seamless go-live and business continuity
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across Finance, Billing Operations, Customer Service, Commercial, and Inbound Systems teams
  • Manage daily and weekly billing cycles, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of customer invoices
  • Oversee the performance, health, and availability of the billing system, coordinate with global teams for patch management, upgrades, and performance tuning
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs for issue resolution, system availability, and change request turnaround
  • Maintain detailed system and process documentation, including architecture, configuration, and business logic
  • Establish strong monitoring and reconciliation processes to ensure end-to-end accuracy from transaction to invoice to cash collection
  • Collaborate with, manage and mentor a small team of SAP developers responsible for ongoing system development and support
  • Lead project planning, estimation, resource allocation, and tracking to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Provide regular project status reports and risk assessments to stakeholders and senior management
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, business sign-off, and production cutovers
  • Promote proactive communication and change-management practices to minimize business disruption during system transitions
  • Evaluate and recommend process or system improvements aligned with DHL’s digital transformation and automation objectives
  • Ensure consistent documentation of business requirements, solution design, and test cases
  • Enforce adherence to IT change-control policies, audit requirements, and security protocols
  • Partner with finance leadership to align billing performance with financial KPIs and audit standards
  • Stay current with SAP S/4HANA and BRIM roadmap updates, advocating for future-ready billing capabilities

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, engineering or related field of study
  • 8+ years of progressive SAP experience with at least 3–5 years in SAP BRIM or Subscription Billing environments
  • Proven experience leading large-scale SAP migration or greenfield implementation projects (preferably SAP BRIM, S/4HANA Finance, or similar enterprise billing solutions)
  • Strong understanding of SAP BRIM architecture and sub-modules - SOM, CI, and FICA - and their integration with FI/CO, SD, and upstream data systems
  • Experience working in a global enterprise environment with matrixed stakeholders and external SAP consulting partners
  • Deep functional knowledge of SAP billing processes, revenue accounting, and financial reconciliation
  • Hands-on experience in SAP BRIM configuration, testing, and integration with external systems
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination skills
  • Strong leadership ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive accountability
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret both business and technical requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic business environments
  • Experience in managing service delivery SLAs, defect triage, and release management
  • Previous exposure to subscription-based or high-volume transaction industries such as logistics, telecom, utilities, or SaaS preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Solution Manager/ALM tools, and Agile project practices is a plus
