They are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to provide quotations for Protection/Controls and Automation opportunities, develop customer solutions, and mentor junior personnel.


Responsibilities

  • Utilize commercial and technical knowledge of electrical controls equipment to assist with the preparation of services quotations for services sales efforts a region
  • Provide technical consultation to customers building a trusted advisor relationship
  • Develop and maintain a high technical and commercial competency for relevant offers
  • Must possess the ability to interact with sales teams and customers to obtain the requirements/scope and ensures that the quote is technically compatible by communicating with the Services Sales and Consulting Operations teams
  • Develop and maintain cross functional expertise with all elements of Schneider PCA offers
  • Will be accountable for providing the necessary technical support to the Solution Specialist on Electrical Protection/Control and Automation Systems
  • Ensure all quotations and documents are correctly completed and archived from Solutions Specialist
  • Must work closely with Sales in a team atmosphere to accomplish their sales quotation objectives
  • Work closely with the Customer Product and Services teams on assignment of service request from our sales teams
  • Collaborate with the Solutions Specialist on large or complex quotes
  • Train and mentor others

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • BSEE or MSEE
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Desire to grow/develop and a passion for customers
  • Self-motivated team player with good time management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize company software programs/collaborative tools
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience in electrical products such as Power Controls and Automation equipment
