Vizient, Inc is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for its employees and is seeking a Consulting Director to lead analytics-driven consulting engagements. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in analytics and consulting to drive client value within Indirect Spend Advisory, manage complex projects, and build relationships with senior client leaders.


Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics-driven consulting engagements that deliver strategic insight and measurable value for clients
  • Analyze complex data sets and articulate findings through clear, compelling storytelling that influences client decision making
  • Guide and mentor less experienced consultants on data interpretation, advanced analytical techniques, and best practices
  • Plan and oversee analysis activities to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights
  • Manage complex projects or workstreams, including scope, priorities, timing, and resource allocation
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with executive-level client leadership to drive alignment and decisions
  • Build and maintain senior-level client relationships, including periodic interaction with C-suite leaders
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on work and support business development, proposal development, and sales activities
  • Improve and evolve existing products, services, tools, and methodologies within the Indirect Spend Advisory function
  • Determine appropriate intellectual capital, such as case studies, to leverage in presentations and sales opportunities

Skills

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required
  • Experience working with complex healthcare clients
  • Demonstrated experience leading indirect spend and/or purchased services initiatives within a healthcare provider environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytics-driven consulting and strategic advisory services
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable insights
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, including budgets, timelines, and workstreams
  • Strong ability to translate complex analyses into clear insights and recommendations for senior and executive-level audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior and executive-level clients
  • Excellent facilitation, written, verbal, and group presentation skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex business challenges
  • Willingness to travel
  • Relevant degree preferred
