REMOTE BOOKKEEPER — 20 HOURS/WEEK (FULL-TIME IN 30 DAYS)

BOOKKEEPER POSITION OVERVIEW

This Remote Bookkeeper role focuses on full-charge bookkeeping for multiple business owner clients.

Hours & Growth Path:

  • Starts at 20 hours per week
  • 40 hours per week (full-time) in ~30 days.

This position is:

  • 100% permanently remote
  • Contract / 1099
  • Long-term (not seasonal or temporary)

This role is not for freelancers running their own bookkeeping business or one-off engagements.

BOOKKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Reconcile business owner financials (multiple clients)
  • Full-charge bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Invoicing
  • Payroll
  • Quarterly taxes
  • Review P&L and Balance Sheets with business owners (weekly/monthly)
  • Set up and maintain Charts of Accounts
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via email and phone
  • Work collaboratively with internal team members
  • Support bookkeeping for government contracting entities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years QuickBooks Online experience (required) — must pass a QBO proficiency test (no exceptions)
  • 5+ years bookkeeping, accounting, or accounting-related experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet firm deadlines
  • Professional, well-written communication skills
  • Prior experience working successfully in a remote environment
  • Ability to follow defined processes and application instructions

Because we are contractors with federal and state government entities, final candidates must pass a background and credit check.

JOB TYPE
