<p style="text-align: center;">REINSTATEMENT OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PRIOR<br> AND CURRENT FRESNO COUNTY EMPLOYEES ONLY</p><p style="text-align: center;">SALARY:  Governed by Salary Resolution Section 400<br> </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Requests for reinstatement privileges may be submitted within five (5) years from the date of separation from a County of Fresno position in which permanent status was held, or acceptance of a voluntary demotion from a permanent position. Human Resources seeks the recommendation of the appropriate department head when considering an individual's request for reinstatement. To request consideration to be placed on a Reinstatement List, for employment consideration, the following is required:</p><ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Written letter requesting reinstatement addressed to the Director of Human Resources including the reason for the request, to what classification, and a statement that the individual left in good standing (you may attach the letter to your application).</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Completed County of Fresno Employment Application.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Must meet the current minimum qualifications for the classification in which reinstatement is being requested.</li><li style="text-align: justify;">Left the County in good standing, including having provided a written notice of resignation giving two or more weeks notice (if less, must have been acceptable to the department head).</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><u>Approved reinstatement requests</u></strong>:  Should a reinstatement privilege be granted, it only provides for an individual to be placed on a reinstatement list for employment consideration to the classification. The individual may remain on the list for one (1) year from the date the request is approved by Human Resources. Approval of a reinstatement request does not guarantee employment, only that the individual will be placed on a reinstatement list for employment consideration. Written notification of acceptance will be sent to the individual at the address on the employment application. If employment is accepted, all other new employee requirements must be met (if the individual is not a current County employee already) and they are treated as a new employee pursuant to the Salary Resolution and Personnel Rules.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><u><strong>Denied reinstatement requests</strong></u>: Should a reinstatement request be denied, the individual will be notified in writing of the reason for denial and the appeal process.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><u>Note</u></strong>: The information provided herein is for informational purposes only.
