Registered Nurse (RN) – Plastic Surgery Practice

Landford Plastic Surgery in Bethesda, Maryland is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an RN who values clinical excellence, high standards of care, and the opportunity to grow within a refined, physician-led private practice.

The RN will play a key role in guiding patients through the full surgical experience—from preoperative planning and clearance to postoperative recovery, with opportunities to participate in aesthetic care. Discretion, professionalism, and exceptional patient experience are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Consultations & Education

  • Conduct surgical pre-consultations, including medical history review, patient education, and expectation setting
  • Provide detailed education on procedures, risks, benefits, recovery timelines, and postoperative care
  • Support non-surgical consultations as appropriate, including skincare and injectables education

Preoperative Care & Surgical Clearance

  • Manage preoperative appointments, chart reviews, consent preparation, lab coordination, and clearance tracking
  • Coordinate and review labs, surgical clearances, and medical documentation from outside providers
  • Ensure patients are medically optimized and fully prepared for surgery
  • Educate patients on preoperative instructions and surgical expectations

Postoperative Care

  • Perform postoperative evaluations, wound checks, and wound management
  • Provide guidance on medications, recovery milestones, and activity restrictions
  • Triage postoperative concerns and communicate clinically significant findings to the surgeon
  • Ensure a smooth, supportive recovery experience for surgical patients

Clinical Excellence & Team Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Administer medications and treatments according to clinic protocols
  • Collaborate closely with the surgeon, medical assistants, patient care coordinators, and clinical staff
  • Uphold the clinic’s luxury standards, professionalism, and patient experience

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (plastic surgery experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical assessment skills
  • Polished, compassionate bedside manner aligned with a luxury practice environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting

Pay: $40.00 per hour
