Scope of Responsibility

Join Cascade Engineering as a Regional Technical Sales Representative, where you will drive revenue growth by owning opportunities across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through product demonstration, closing, and implementation. This role combines consultative selling, technical product expertise, and hands-on field engagement to deliver flood protection and barrier solutions to municipal, utility, and emergency management customers. As the primary technical and commercial liaison between end users, distributor partners, and internal teams, you will ensure customer needs are translated into effective, real-world solutions that create lasting value.


Territory: Statewide - Florida


Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $66,360.00 – $92,820.00 / year (plus quarterly performance bonus and annual incentive bonus). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and drive regional revenue through consultative selling engagement with end users and close collaboration with distributor partners
  • Conduct frequent, hands-on product demonstrations with municipalities, utilities, and critical asset owners
  • Build and maintain relationships with Public Works, City Managers, Stormwater, Road Maintenance, Emergency Management, and Utility stakeholders
  • Prospect and develop new generate top-of-funnel opportunities through outbound activity, regional travel, networking, tradeshows, and industry events
  • Develop and support distributor partners through product demonstration, joint sales calls, and opportunity advancement
  • Leverage cooperative purchasing agreements such as Sourcewell, TIPS, and similar programs to accelerate deal flow
  • Accurately document all activities, opportunities, and forecasts in Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to support forecasting and inventory planning
  • Serve as a visible brand and product ambassador through events, social media and on camera or live demonstrations
  • Gather market, competitor, and customer insights to inform sales strategy, product positioning, and marketing efforts
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Environment Science, or related field with 1+ years of relevant sales, technical sales or field-based customer service OR associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant sales, technical or field-based experience
  • Experience selling into municipalities, utilities, or public-sector organizations
  • Proven success in consultative, solution-based selling
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences
  • Comfortable working with engineers, public works leaders, and technical decision-makers.
  • Hands-on experience demonstrating physical or technical products in the field
  • Experience working through distribution channels preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management skills and CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to travel based on customer/territory demands up to 70% of the time, primarily day trips within the assigned region
  • Proven hunter mentality with the ability to aggressively prospect, qualify, and close new business
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
