KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and leverage strategic thinking to align Global packaging initiatives with broader business goals, ensuring long-term success, consumer love and competitive advantage.
  • Drive and unlock future capabilities across desirability, efficiency and sustainability for tubes and flexibles.
  • Build stronger relationship internal and externally unlocking partnerships to bring in disruptive packaging technologies and ideas leading to newer packaging solutions enhancing consumer experiences
  • Collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively communicate and influence key Stakeholders and Cluster teams - technical & non-technical.
  • Agility on managing complexity through harmonisation and simplification.
  • Develop deep category, local market, and product expertise to uncover new local insights and opportunities, including consumer needs, trends, competitor insights, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Risks actively & align cross functional teams
  • Working knowledge to fully operational project management skills & tools

EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 10-12 years of packaging development experience in a FMCG company, preferably in Beauty and Personal care
  • Enriched experience and knowledge across pack formats tapping on materials, converting methods, filling & decoration technologies and expertise for key formats like Tubes and Flexibles to drive and unlock future capabilities
  • Good understanding of component costing and cost of packaging materials to unlock opportunities and partnerships
  • Skills set to manage & coach people.
  • Strong project management skill (including rigorous risk management and problem-solving skills)
  • Rigour in data management and analytical thinking
  • Great interpersonal skills with ability to influence across all functions (technical and marketing)
  • Strategic agility, and ability to project ideas into the future for long term business impact.
  • Cross cultural sensitivity and agility to operate at global level with good understanding of local context.
  • Strong external orientation, supplier partnership and passion to bring newer technologies and solutions which can be extended to brands.
