Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QuickBooks Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in QuickBooks and other accounting software to ensure accurate financial record-keeping, streamline bookkeeping processes, and support various financial functions across diverse industries, including non-profit and corporate sectors. Duties

  • Manage and maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software platforms.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable transactions, and handle payroll functions with precision.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and assisting in financial report writing for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with governmental accounting requirements and non-profit accounting practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Execute double-entry bookkeeping procedures, maintain general ledger accounts, and ensure adherence to GAAP standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with QuickBooks as well as familiarity with Quicken, Xero, Sage, and other accounting software tools.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with accounts payable/receivable management, payroll processing, tax preparation support, and financial report writing.
  • Excellent attention to detail along with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
  • Ability to analyze accounts through account analysis and conduct budget reviews effectively.
