Fabric & Gear Inspector Extraordinaire

Got a sharp eye for detail? As our Quality Technician I, you’ll inspect, test, and verify materials and finished ammunition bags to ensure they meet strict quality standards. From spotting snags and defects to using precision measuring tools and documenting results, you’ll help guarantee every product is built right.

You’ll also assist with inventory, rework, packing, and shipment prep while collaborating with the team to drive continuous improvement. If you’re detail-driven, hands-on, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you!

 

As a Quality Technician I here's the work you'll do:

 

  • Inspects and tests materials, components and work in process i/a/w established procedures.
  • Assures compliance with ordinance specifications, standard inspection procedures and drawings. Visually inspects work from beginning-to-finish end of process for defects such as rips, puckering, snags creasing, holes, etc.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality reports and non-conformance issues.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and quality testing equipment to assess fabric properties such as tensile strength, color consistency, shrinkage, and dimensional stability.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding quality requirements and standards. Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with inventory count and control by performing various work tasks which involves receiving, unpacking, inspecting, assembling, breakdown, reworking, packing, and palletizing component parts and finished ammunition bags.
  • May operate hand or power trucks and tools, while performing tasks to stow, stack or prepare for shipment. Perform all other duties related as assigned or requested. 

 

This role is for you if you have these skills:

 

  • Reading and math skills at a level normally acquired through high school education. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
  • Knowledge of using measuring tools and quality testing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

 

And if you have these qualifications:

 

  • HS Diploma/ GED preferred.
  • 1 + years of experience required.
  • Required to attend internal QA Certification classes and pass test.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.
  • Great attitude and team player!

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $42,560 - $63,840. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
