Zillow Group emphasizes an inclusive, innovative culture, a distributed-first work model (Cloud HQ), and has been recognized on lists such as FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For and PEOPLE Companies That Care. ## Key Responsibilities - Capture industry-leading still photography, listing videos, 3D or 360° virtual tours, drone photography & videos (based on business need), and social media videos for for-sale and for-rent properties. - Utilize advanced photography techniques and equipment to showcase unique features and aesthetics of each property. - Coordinate and interact with clients on-site to understand specific photography needs and expectations. - Provide guidance and direction to clients and property owners during photography sessions to achieve desired results. - Use proprietary technology to create rich media experiences and ensure all media adheres to brand guidelines. - Manage, maintain, and ensure optimal performance of photography equipment (cameras, lenses, accessories). - Organize, cull, and upload captured media for post-processing, meeting deadlines and appointment punctuality. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in real estate photography and develop creative concepts to showcase properties. - Collaborate with Regional Managers, Market Leaders, other photographers, real estate agents, and marketing professionals to deliver cohesive visual assets. - Adapt to future changes in media, product, service, capture, or processing and represent Zillow Media Experts professionally. ## Required Qualifications - Ability to learn Zillow Media Experts’ processes and computer systems. - Experience capturing high-quality photography; preferably interior and exterior real estate photos, real estate videos, 3D tours, and drone media. - Deep understanding of photography fundamentals using DSLR or mirrorless camera systems. - May be expected to obtain an FAA Part 107 drone license and complete drone training when required by business need. - Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to operate, maintain, or procure reliable transportation. - Ability to drive within a 60+ mile radius of the City Center and to travel between job sites in the market area. - Ability to provide a minimum of 20 hours per week of availability (photographers typically work 10–20 hours per week on average; may be asked to work more than 20 hours during high demand). - Located near Birmingham, AL and able to commute within the service area. - Required equipment: a professional full-frame or crop-sensor DSLR/mirrorless camera capable of 5-bracket Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB); a wide-angle lens (Full Frame 15–35mm or Crop Sensor 10–22mm); a ball head or geared head tripod (video fluid head tripods are not acceptable). ## Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in real estate photography or related real estate media work. - Strong customer service and professional business communication skills for frequent client interaction. - Experience operating drones for photography/video when applicable. - Internet upload speed of at least 15 Mbps is strongly preferred for timely media uploads. ## Compensation & Benefits - Standard base pay shown for this posting: $38.50 hourly (pay unit: hourly). - Location-specific standard base pay ranges called out in the posting: $24.10–$38.50 hourly for CA, CT, MD, MA, NJ, NY, WA, and DC; $22.90–$36.50 hourly for CO, HI, IL, MN, NV, OH, RI, and VT. - Part-time role with potential opportunities for full-time employment in the future. - Distributed-first (Cloud HQ) work model, company recognition and commitment to an inclusive workplace; Zillow Group is an equal opportunity employer. ## Additional Information - This is categorized as a Field position; employees are expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance to their region/service area and perform most work in the specified geographic location. - Photographers typically work 10–20 hours per week depending on location and demand; during high demand may be asked to work more than 20 hours. - Applicants with disabilities who need accommodation should contact the recruiter directly; qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered per applicable laws. - Los Angeles County-specific notice: certain job duties and potential criminal history considerations are described in accordance with local ordinance requirements. - Cloud HQ model emphasizes flexibility and remote/distributed work where appropriate.
