About the position

This position is responsible for Accounts Payable duties and assisting the Director of Finance and Executive Director with other financial related functions.

Responsibilities

  • Enters invoices into Bill payment software ensuring invoice is accurate, due dates are recorded and amount is tax exempt.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, request to void payments, add adjustments, etc.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
  • Complete allocations of applicable invoices to various departments
  • Download invoices, as applicable, from vendor website.
  • Devising ways to save money through monitoring opportunities for discounts or changing vendors
  • Documenting invoices and payments and reviewing data for discrepancies
  • Processing and maintaining 1099 statements
  • Reconciling payable GL reports monthly to confirm the accuracy
  • Reconciling vendor statements to company records
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Business or Accounting degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years proven work experience in accounting required
  • Organization skills
