Emish Market, located in Fife, WA, is a Ukrainian grocery store offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. We also feature a full-service caf, bakery, and meat department, serving freshly made Ukrainian dishes, sweet pastries, and specialty meats, providing a unique shopping experience for our customers.

We are currently seeking an energetic and customer-focused Barista to join our caf team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and hospitality, has a great attitude, and enjoys providing exceptional service in a welcoming environment. Work Schedule: This is a part-time position with scheduled hours from 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Pay Range: starting $17.13 per hour + tips (our baristas make on average $5-6 per hour in tips)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages consistently to quality standards
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines and caf equipment
  • Greet and engage customers warmly, take orders, and answer menu questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee station and customer seating
  • Assist with caf inventory, restocking, and opening/closing duties
  • Support bakery staff as needed and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of barista experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy hours
  • Basic knowledge of coffee brewing methods and milk frothing
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language is preferred but not required
