Summary:

The Operations Project Manager is responsible for estimating and coordinating projects for the company and will assist with document preparation, submission, and scheduling of construction and project work.

Requirements:

  • Work closely with Operations Manager and stakeholders assisting with the planning of future projects within the organization.
  • Document control of RFQ's, tender addendums, project budget, quotations, material and/or labour takeoffs.
  • Requesting quotes from suppliers.
  • Collect and review of documentation (scope of work, specs, drawings, etc.).
  • Attend Pre- Award meeting when required.
  • Review site logistics if applicable.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager and stakeholders, coordinating building and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop & maintain relationships with suppliers, GC's and customers
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress timelines.
  • Manage purchase and delivery materials and equipment needed for projects.
  • Ensure projects comply with safety plans and regulations.
  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to schedule internal and external meetings, sending calendar invites with agendas.
  • Review and be accountable to the timelines of projects.
  • Maintain Infrastructure Maintenance Records.
  • Maintain Asset Management List.
  • Maintain Records for building leases, taxes, assessments.
  • May require adjusted scheduled as required for projects.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Construction Management Technology, CTE, preferred.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent training in Construction Estimating, Project Management or Engineering Technology.
  • Equivalent experience working in project management and estimating.
  • Training or equivalent experience using Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2021.
  • Experience working as a general contractor.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to document, organize, and follow up on important actions and decisions from stakeholder meetings.
    High attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand construction drawings.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A passion for fostering a safe work environment.
  • Able to work under pressure with time constraints and multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable attending construction projects and job sites.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to attend and conduct presentations/webinars.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
