<strong>Your Job<br><br></strong>Georgia-Pacific is having for a <strong>Night Shift</strong> <strong>PLC Technician</strong> to join our Lumber facility in Albany, GA!<br><br><strong>Salary: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Our starting pay is $36-$45/hr. depending on experience. </li><li>$ 5.00/hour shift premium for any hours worked Friday – Sunday (overtime rules apply).</li><li>You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Shift:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Night Shift: Tuesday – Friday (7 pm-6 am) <br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Location:<br><br></strong>400 Ironaton Cutoff Road, Talladega, AL 35160<br><br><strong>Our Team<br><br></strong>Our team creates value by safely assisting with the production of lumber for our valued customers.<br><br><strong>What You Will Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Diagnose and repair electrical and control system failures including:</li><ul><li>Sensors and encoders, Motor controls and starters, Variable frequency drives and electronic overloads, Network communications (Ethernet/IP), Safety circuits and interlocks</li></ul><li>Utilize diagnostic tools such as:</li><ul><li>Multimeters, PLC monitoring software, Network analyzers</li></ul><li>Configure and maintain:</li><ul><li>HMI systems, Remote I/O networks, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Servo and motion control systems</li></ul><li>Work closely with:</li><ul><li>Maintenance teams, Millwrights, Operators, Engineers, Vendors and OEMs</li></ul><li>Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide rapid corrective action.</li><li>Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment</li><li>Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program<br><br></li></ul><strong>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<br><br></strong><ul><li>Two (2) year degree or higher in Electrical Technology or Industrial Automation</li><li>At least three (3) years’ industrial electrical repair experience and/or industrial maintenance experience</li><li>Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics</li><li>Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)</li><li>Experience with Ladder Logic, VFD’s and various motor control devices</li><li>Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>What Will Put You Ahead<br><br></strong><ul><li>At least three (5) years’ industrial electrical repair experience and/or industrial maintenance experience</li><li>Experience with Factory Talk View Studio</li><li>Experience in industrial mechanical troubleshooting</li><li>Experience working in a wood products manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders and working at heights or in confined spaces.</li><li>Ability to work in a sawmill environment with dust, noise, heat, and cold conditions.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.<br><br></strong>This means we openly challenge the status quo, find new ways to create value, and get rewarded for our individual contributions.
