Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking Night Shift Coating and Rewinder Operators for a packaging converting facility that produces items such as pizza boxes, folding cartons, gift card carriers, and insulated packaging used by major food service brands. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday


Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor coating and rewinding machinery used to convert large rolls and bales of cardboard and paper into finished packaging products.

  • Set up machines, load rolls, thread material through equipment, and perform changeovers as needed.

  • Monitor coating application, roll tension, alignment, and output to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Perform basic mechanical adjustments using tools such as Allen keys, wrenches, and screwdrivers.

  • Use touchscreen controls and production systems to adjust settings and monitor machine performance.

  • Complete basic computer data entry, including production counts, roll numbers, weights, and inventory tracking.

  • Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality standards for food-grade and retail packaging.

  • Read and interpret tape measures accurately and perform basic math calculations.

  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area, including cleaning rollers, pans, and other machine components.

  • Follow all safety procedures while working in a loud, industrial, non-climate-controlled environment.


Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot or make minor machine adjustments.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and positive attitude.

  • Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift schedule and perform physical labor.


Preferred Background:

Ideal candidates may have experience in:

  • Packaging, paper converting, corrugation, printing, coating, rewinding, or general manufacturing.

  • Operating industrial equipment such as rewinders, slitters, presses, or coating machines.

  • Using hand tools and performing basic mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Construction, farming, textile, or other mechanically intensive fields.
