Catamount Ambassador Job Outline

Position begins when we open for the season

Overview of Position: Catamount Ambassadors assist the guests in any way possible. They are stationed throughout the ski area and are ready to take action to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be very flexiblebe able to deal with guests and employees in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Must be able to write legibly and to use good composition to complete necessary paperwork.
  • Must be willing to learn and adapt to change.
  • Must have full knowledge of prices, programs, scheduled events, reports etc. and where to find them.
  • Must be open-mindedhelpful.
  • Must possess good communication skills for disseminating information to guests.
  • Must be able to stand for scheduled shifts and outside in winter conditions for several hours.
  • Must be able to handle people milling about you.
  • Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Job Duties: The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Catamount Mountain Resort. This list of duties is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform; however Catamount will never require you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.

  • Responsible for greeting and dispensing information to all guests. This involves approaching guest, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.
  • Remain at assigned location until replacement arrives.
  • Distribute trail and snow reports to all designated locations.
  • Assist with guest attending races, promotional events and other special events as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining a neat lodge and grounds.
  • Assist in the parking and/or group bus loading/unloading processes

Work Schedule and Conditions:

Be prepared to step up and take charge of guest concerns - do not pass problems to others. The phase "I Don't Know" Does Not Exist with Catamount Ambassadors. If you don't know use the phrase: "Let me find out for you."

We are in the business of providing a quality product and experience for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work.

Providing a solid availability calendar and attending all scheduled days to meet program requirements is paramount.

Dress Code:

  • Name Tag must always be worn - no exceptions.
  • Must be neat and clean - overall approachable appearance.
  • Catamount Ambassadors will be provided with uniforms suitable for both indoor and outdoor work and uniforms must be worn during scheduled shifts.
