Medical Assistant - Outpatient (Day Shift)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative operations in an outpatient healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care, ensure efficient clinic flow, and maintain accurate documentation while delivering excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • BLS Certification (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA preferred)
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Take and document vital signs
  • Assist providers during examinations
  • Administer injections and perform basic clinical procedures (as permitted by scope of practice)
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment
Administrative Duties
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Verify patient information and update medical records
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
  • Assist with referrals and coordination of care
Patient Support
  • Provide professional and courteous service to patients
  • Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
