To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.<br><br><strong> The Opportunity <br><br></strong>As a Master Plumber at Encore, you will be a key part of making sure our customers’ fire sprinkler systems are ready when they are needed most. You will inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, with a focus on reliability, compliance, and clear communication. This is a field-based role with a mix of planned service, repairs, and occasional emergency calls.<br><br>It is a strong fit for technicians who take pride in their craft, enjoy solving problems on active job sites, and want to work on a team that values professionalism, technical expertise, and continuous learning.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong>You are the one people call when a system is leaking, a valve will not move, or an inspection turns up something that cannot wait. You sort out what is really going on, explain it in plain language, and leave the system in better shape than you found it. In this role, you will:<br><br><ul><li> Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire sprinkler systems. </li><li> Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail. </li><li> Look for issues where systems are not working properly or not meeting current code requirements and recommend what needs to be fixed or upgraded. </li><li> Work with contractors, building maintenance staff, and internal office teams to schedule and complete service calls. </li><li> Document what you find, what you recommend, and what you repair, in line with company expectations and NFPA standards. </li><li> Take part in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests when needed. </li><li> Follow all safety procedures and represent Encore in a professional way on every job site. <br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Bring To The Table<br><br></strong><ul><li> Valid Master Plumber License in the state of Maryland </li><li> High school diploma or GED required, with technical or industry related experience preferred </li><li> Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, their components, and common tools used to service them </li><li> Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards </li><li> Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings </li><li> Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams </li><li> Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more </li><li> Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory </li><li> Experience operating lifts and an understanding of OSHA safety practices </li><li> Professional, team-oriented mindset and a consistent focus on doing the job safely and correctly <br><br></li></ul><strong>What Makes You Stand Out<br><br></strong><ul><li>8–10+ years of plumbing experience, with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory capacity</li><li> You have NICET certification in water-based systems inspection, testing, or layout. </li><li> You have experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work. </li><li> You are known for catching issues early, explaining them clearly to customers, and following through until they are fixed. <br><br></li></ul>Hourly pay commensurate with experience with opportunity for a results-driven bonus based on personal output and effectiveness in role.
