Job Summary

The Manager of Social Media is the operational leader and strategic architect of Rentokil Terminix's social media presence across all North American brands. This role transforms social from a content channel into a measurable growth engine, driving customer acquisition, brand trust, and community engagement through innovative organic and paid strategies. This role will lead the day-to-day performance, experimentation, and optimization of social platforms while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure social is integrated into the broader marketing ecosystem and aligned with organization goals. With a focus on velocity, data, and cultural relevance, this role will build the systems, team capabilities, and creator networks that make social a competitive advantage for Rentokil Terminix.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Growth: Increase social-sourced leads, conversions, and revenue contribution year-over-year

  • Engagement: Drive meaningful two-way interactions that build trust and community

  • Efficiency: Improve cost-per-acquisition and engagement rates through continuous testing and optimization

  • Reputation: Strengthen brand sentiment and share of voice in key markets

  • Advocacy: Scale employee and creator programs that amplify reach and authenticity

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end social media strategy, translating business objectives into platform-specific tactics that drive measurable results

  • Establish and track KPIs tied to business outcomes: lead generation, CAC efficiency, customer retention, and brand health

  • Develop quarterly social roadmaps with clear hypotheses, tests, and learning agendas

  • Monitor platform algorithm changes and emerging trends, rapidly adapting strategy to maintain competitive advantage

  • Lead the creation of high-performing organic content that balances brand storytelling with conversion-focused messaging

  • Build and manage community engagement strategies, including response protocols, DM-to-lead conversion, and reputation management

  • Oversee social listening and sentiment analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations for the business

  • Ensure brand voice is consistent, authentic, and optimized for each platform's unique culture

  • Partner with performance marketing to develop integrated paid social strategies that complement organic efforts

  • Lead A/B testing frameworks for creative, messaging, targeting, and placement optimization

  • Manage paid social budget allocation and forecasting, demonstrating clear ROI

  • Identify and scale winning creative formats and audience segments

  • Build and manage relationships with social media influencers, brand partners, and content creators

  • Develop employee advocacy and brand ambassador programs, turning technicians and staff into authentic brand voices

  • Create toolkits and enablement resources that empower local teams to participate in social without fragmenting the brand

  • Vet and onboard external partners, managing contracts and performance expectations

  • Lead and develop a team of social media specialists, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and accountability

  • Partner with Brand, PR, Customer Care, Local Marketing, and Product teams to ensure social is integrated into key initiatives

  • Manage relationships with agencies and vendors, setting clear expectations and performance standards

  • Serve as the internal expert on social media best practices, educating stakeholders and building organizational fluency

  • Own the social media technology stack (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and ensure optimal utilization

  • Establish workflows, approval processes, and governance that enable speed without sacrificing quality

  • Build reporting dashboards that provide real-time visibility into performance and trends

  • Evaluate and implement new tools and platforms that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Required Experience

  • 7–10 years of progressive social media marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a management role

  • Proven track record of driving business results through social media (not just engagement metrics)

  • Ability to connect social tactics to business outcomes; comfort with data, attribution, and ROI analysis

  • Deep hands-on expertise across major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)

  • Strong experience with paid social media, including campaign management, optimization, and budget forecasting

  • Demonstrated success building and managing influencer/creator programs

  • Expert knowledge of social media management platforms (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of social analytics tools and attribution methodologies

  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and optimization strategies

  • Familiarity with creative production workflows and tools

  • Communicates effectively to all levels of internal audiences; drives communication cross-functionally

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Experience leading teams and developing talent

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics

  • Takes ownership and drives initiatives forward with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Thrives in a fast-changing environment and pivots quickly when needed.

  • Builds trust and productive relationships across the organization.

  • Takes responsibility for results and learns from setbacks.

  • Fosters a collaborative work environment with the ability to delegate to and educate direct reports.
