This position requires a solid understanding of CNC operations, the ability to perform complex setups, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
  • Work from drawings, schematics, blueprints to machine parts using machine tool
  • such as turning machines, boring and drilling machines, grinders, and lathes.
  • Ability to perform teardown/knockdowns
  • Follow basic mandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and the
  • wellbeing of oneself and others.
  • Able to change machine tooling, adjust offsets and able to locate proper fixturing.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure
  • conformance tospecifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
  • Use clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actions.
  • Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality
  • standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
  • Ensures PM (preventative maintenance).
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven experience in fabrication and production management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to creating a safe work environment.
  • Familiarity with fabrication equipment and processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate ability as a critical thinker with great organizational skills, and extreme attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately.
  • Highly selfmotivated individual that is a quick learner, takes initiative, and can think on their feet.
  • Ensures PM (preventative maintenance).
  • Willingness to crosstrain and perform the tasks of other Fabrication Facility roles in addition to the primary assigned position.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required, equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum 5-8 years machining experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures.
  • Requires standing 90% of shift.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting and lifting with arms extended.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Average part weighs 5-15 lbs.
  • Requires good manual dexterity.
