Established Schedule

  • Tuesday: 1:00 AM – 5:30 AM
  • Wednesday: 1:00 AM – 5:30 AM
  • Thursday: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:30 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 1:00 AM – 6:30 AM
  • Sunday: 1:00 AM – 6:30 AM

Total Scheduled Hours: 32.5 hours per week (gross)
Each shift includes a mandatory 30-minute unpaid meal period in compliance with California law.

Estimated Paid Hours: Approximately 29.5 hours per week.

Meal periods must be taken every shift, must be uninterrupted, and must be properly recorded in the timekeeping system.

Position Summary

DZ Laundry is hiring a reliable and self-motivated Late Night Laundry Attendant for our Rubidoux location. This role requires working independently during late-night and overnight hours while maintaining a clean, safe, and customer-friendly laundromat environment.

This is a non-exempt hourly position subject to all applicable California wage and hour laws as well as company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of washers, dryers, folding areas, floors, restrooms, and common spaces
  • Monitor the facility to promote a secure and orderly environment
  • Provide basic customer assistance, including machine guidance, rewashes, and approved refunds
  • Enforce store rules and address loitering or non-customer presence when necessary
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues promptly
  • Complete cleaning checklists and required documentation accurately
  • Remain visible, attentive, and accessible to customers throughout the entire shift

Compliance & Work Standards

  • This position is classified as non-exempt under California law
  • Accurate clock-in and clock-out, including meal period tracking, is required
  • Overtime compensation will be paid in accordance with California law and company policy
  • This position operates under DZ Laundry’s Alternate Workweek Schedule (AWS)
  • Compliance with attendance, break, conduct, and safety policies is mandatory

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform light physical tasks for extended periods
  • Previous experience in janitorial, laundry, or customer service roles is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
