Position Summary

The Inside Sales Associate’s primary responsibilities are to generate sales and drive revenue growth by generating new sales leads and new quotes by contacting outbound prospects. In addition, to working with inbound indirect customers to convert them to sales order in the designated WPSG field sales organization. New business development activities focuses on coordinated target market, customer segment, product campaigns, and new/non-active target customers and prospect agency outreach projects with the objective of creating and developing new customers and driving customer revenue growth.


Location

This position is a combination of hybrid (with in-office location being our Coatesville, PA headquarters) and remote eligible dependent upon the successful applicant's background and location.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly pursue new sales opportunities through making outbound calls to customers and prospect new customers through daily outreach.
  • Conduct follow up activities on inbound quote requests from company website.
  • Timely follow-up on open quotes with the objective of converting them into sales orders prior to expiration on original quote.
  • Make outbound cold calls and email outreach to generate new prospects and customers in target geographic regions and market segments (approximately 50 per day).
  • Respond promptly to inbound customer and prospected calls with recommendations and solutions to support their requirements within two business days.
  • Listen carefully to customers and maintain a positive attitude to support prompt and accurate decisions and presence as a consultative resource.
  • Keeps up to date and knowledgeable of WPSG products, features, and benefits to keep informed of new products introduced online to be able to represent the current options to all new and formers customers.
  • Participates in monthly team meetings by sharing sales successes, new customers, challenges, and/or sharing of best practices with team members.
  • Own the entire sales process from start to finish. This includes following the status of your orders to ensure timely and effective relay of the information to customers.
  • Contact Vendors as appropriate to follow up on customer requests or orders.
  • Effectively use the CRM tools built into the system to manage your pipeline.
  • Establish good working rapport with customers, vendors, and other company departments.
  • Always represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Occasionally meet with customers in showrooms, attend field demo or trade show events or any other sales activities as directed.
  • Be able to identify GSA items and properly price in quotes per the GSA pricing list.
  • Readily identify the specific needs of military shipping requirements and costs.
  • Accurately relay government contract information to all necessary parties within the organization.
  • Extended hours may be required at the end of the federal fiscal year (end of September each year).
  • Complies with all Witmer Public Safety Group Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs any other duties or projects assigned by the management team.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Strong listening and suggestive selling skills to understand customer requirements and needs and provide solutions options. Ability to handle customer and prospect requirements and think logically to find a product portfolio solution that satisfies customer or prospect needs. Ability to make quick and accurate decisions. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams/PowerPoint). Good mathematical aptitude for preparing and calculating quotes, shipping, etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals in a wide range of mediums. Such as email, phone, teams, text, etc. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and manage one’s time appropriately. Mental reasoning capabilities; to cope with tight deadlines; changing priorities; handle stress and maintain mature problem-solving demeanor. Interest in supporting the first responder community. Maintains a positive and courteous communications presence. Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience. Previous experience in inside B2B sales preferred. Previous CRM experience a plus. Must have 2-3 years of experience in a professional work environment is required. First Responder or Military experience is a plus.
