(You must be available to attend court in San Antonio and potentially Laredo.)</p><p><br></p><p>In this role, you will focus on family-based cases, deportation defense, and humanitarian relief as well as some business immigration alongside a small team. The firm’s close-knit culture encourages open communication, mutual support, and shared success.</p><p><br></p><p>Key info about the role:</p><p><br></p><ul><li><strong><em>Salary Range</em></strong>: $120K/year to $150K/year, depending on experience and demonstrated value, plus bonus structure based on hitting KPIs in business development.</li><li><strong><em>Work Location</em></strong>: Hybrid role in Austin or Laredo or 100% remote. Must be able to attend court dates in San Antonio and potentially Laredo.</li><li><strong>Language/J.D./Bar Admission</strong>: Fluency/professional proficiency in Spanish is required. Seeking candidates with a J.D. who are licensed to practice in any U.S. state (preferably Texas). Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA).</li><li><strong>Benefit</strong>s: Health insurance, PTO, VTO, sick leave, paid holidays, and bar dues covered.</li><li><strong>Realistic Hours</strong>: 40-50 hours/week (not the 60-80 some firms demand) with emphasis on work-life balance.</li><li><strong>Start Date</strong>: As soon as possible (with the understanding that currently employed candidates will need to give notice).</li><li><strong>The-Day-to-Day Work</strong>: Manage family-based cases, deportation defense, humanitarian relief, including asylum, VAWA, U visas, T visas, I-130s, AOS, consular processing, and waivers, as well as possibility of some business immigration. Attend USCIS interviews, immigration court hearings, and bond proceedings. Manage consultations and client communications and supervise team members.</li><li><strong>Preferred: </strong>Experience with INS Zoom and Excel and/or Google Docs a plus.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Firm</strong></p><p>Established in 2006, The Yohana Saucedo Law Office is a woman-owned and managed firm that fights for the rights of immigrants with compassion.
