About the position Hire Ventures is a boutique human resource consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta that works with small to medium-sized companies with dispersed employees in a remote capacity. Since 2001, we have been providing human resource and recruiting services with a focus in finding and keeping talent in an ever-changing world. Our services are more ideal than ever for companies that may have human resource or recruiting needs but may not have their own full-time resource and given this growth, we are adding to our Atlanta based Human Resource Consulting team . The ideal person for this role will be a proven self-starter who is passionate and experienced in various areas of Human Resources, ideally, someone who has worked in an early-stage or solo HR position with a growing company. What you will be doing: Providing exceptional HR support to our clients and delivering in various areas of the employee life cycle, acting as an extension of the client to help with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave management and employee exiting. This role will handle transactional HR work for our clients, specifically processing payroll, benefits administration, processing leave requests, new hire onboarding and employee terminations or off boarding. Completing HR-related project work such as updating or creating Employee Handbooks, conducting HR audits, supporting HR investigations, and improving internal HR processes. HR is complex, and our clients have employees across multiple states so you’ll need to stay up to date on the latest HR practices to ensure compliance with various state and federal employment law. Supporting the growth of Hire Ventures and our internal team; participating in team meetings as well as collaborating with other members of the team in a virtual capacity. Telling the Hire Ventures story or sharing thought leadership via LinkedIn and other social platforms to strengthen the Hire Ventures brand. What we are looking for: Candidates must have the capacity to work during normal business hours - hours may be flexible, however, this is not a side hustle, and candidates working a full-time job or working in a competing role will not be considered. This Atlanta-based position allows hybrid flexibility with 2-4 days in office each month. Candidates outside of the local area will not be considered for this role. Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or relevant and equivalent experience HR Certification is a plus. Tech-forward mindset with comfort using HR systems, ATS platforms and collaboration tools Must have 2+ years of progressive and relevant HR experience Demonstrated ability to work independently, be motivated, articulate and make sound decisions under the position guidelines - in a positive, results-driven and forward-thinking manner. Should have an active presence in the professional world, especially LinkedIn. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the following: Ability to communicate with a variety of people in a polite and professional manner, with high attention to detail. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, business writing knowledge a plus. Knowledge of human resources either from courses or working experience. Must be coachable and have a strong desire to learn with a growth mindset and love of technology. Be a good team player yet able to work independently with little instruction or supervision and with a high degree of trust.
