Role Description

This new Account Executive (AE) role in our Automotive Retail and Mobility vertical will focus on seamless transition of accounts from the Auto Business Development team. The AE will take over accounts once the initial sale is closed, working closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to get clients up and running. Once established, this AE will be responsible for "farming" these accounts to drive expansion and long-term growth. Additionally, this role will involve proactive outbound calling to mid-sized prospects and partnerships to secure deals.

  • Manage the "hand-off" process from Business Development Reps, ensuring a smooth transition for newly acquired clients
  • Partner with CSMs to facilitate successful client onboarding and immediate solution implementation
  • Execute "farming" strategies within existing accounts to identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Conduct outbound prospecting and sales activity specifically targeting smaller partnerships and niche deals
  • Establish, maintain, and manage customer relationships
  • Lead Equifax sales efforts for targeted accounts and assigned small-to-mid-tier partnerships
  • Partner on building strategies to grow existing accounts and ensure year-over-year growth
  • Act as a champion to ensure the success of partnerships
  • Balance day-to-day operations with a focus on operational excellence and long-term opportunities and risks
  • Lead the negotiation of renewal and expansion contracts with assigned partners
  • On behalf of target accounts, develop business cases to support solution development that include the "voice of the customer"
  • Represent Equifax at key customer meetings or customer-sponsored events
  • Work with the New Product Initiative (NPI) team to build applicable solutions
  • Collaborate with Equifax partners for integrated solution development
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of products, financials, and sales and service performance
  • Work closely with the broader sales team to support account-level strategy and tactics
  • Drive sales activity combining knowledge and expertise in data, analytics, lead generation, customer segmentation, and marketing services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development with a proven ability to drive sales growth and exceed revenue targets
  • Growing experience with solution and consultative selling
  • Professional presentation and communication skills; familiarity/comfort in public speaking
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to build and grow key relationships across multiple accounts
  • Experience working with senior-level account employees, including an ability to immediately establish credibility and build/maintain those relationships
  • Exceptional ability to manage and execute a robust pipeline
  • Ability to travel – approximately 10-20%

Requirements

  • Automotive industry knowledge with a lean towards data solutions in the marketing space, strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build and grow key, senior-level relationships across multiple accounts, immediately establishing credibility with executives
  • Exceptional ability to manage and execute a robust pipeline and drive urgency in the sales cycle
  • Excellent planning, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting facilitation skills
