Job Summary

A large mining operation in Bagdad, Arizona is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator / Haul Truck Operator to support tailings & production operations. Operators will operate haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, excavators, motor graders, loaders & other heavy mobile mining equipment used for material hauling, road maintenance & site support.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a heavy equipment operator, haul truck operator, construction equipment operator or mining equipment operator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, excavators, motor graders & front-end loaders
  • Perform material hauling, stockpile management & site support activities
  • Assist with dewatering, trenching, materials delivery & surface maintenance
  • Support road construction, road surface maintenance & berm building
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Follow site safety procedures including Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTOTO)
  • Communicate with dispatch using two-way radio or computer dispatch systems
  • Assist with operational support activities such as barricading equipment & assisting with power cable moves
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance when required
  • Assist with training or mentoring other equipment operators when needed
  • Remain aware of changing work conditions & potential site hazards

  • Haul Trucks
  • Water Trucks
  • Track Dozers
  • Rubber Tire Dozers
  • Excavators
  • Front-End Loaders
  • Motor Graders

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ months of heavy equipment operating experience
  • Experience operating haul trucks, loaders, dozers, excavators, graders or similar mobile equipment
  • Ability to pass required skills & safety assessments

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in mining, construction, quarry or industrial equipment operation

Work Location

  • Bagdad, Arizona (approximately 100 miles northwest of Phoenix)
