Looking for the stability of an in-house role with the variety and pace of an agency?

Philo Ventures is seeking a Utah-based designer who is curious about the people, companies, and industries they design for—and who thrives on transforming ideas into impactful visual experiences, both digital and physical.

This role is for a multifaceted, collaborative designer and natural problem solver. You bring ideas to life across websites, brand identities, and print collateral, always grounding your work in user outcomes. You value cross-disciplinary collaboration and approach design with empathy, iteration, and a constant openness to inspiration from unexpected places.

You Have…

  • Must be located in Utah and able to work in-office in Pleasant Grove, UT, 3x/week

  • 5+ years of visual design experience (agency experience preferred)

  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating strength in digital and brand design

  • A willingness to learn new tools and processes, including AI and emerging creative workflows

  • A strong grasp of color, typography, and composition

  • Proven experience collaborating closely with teams

  • Highly conceptual thinking paired with excellent execution

  • Experience working directly with clients, with the ability to understand objectives and translate them into strong creative solutions

  • The ability to clearly articulate design thinking—to teammates and in client presentations

  • Strong collaboration skills and respect for diverse perspectives and disciplines

  • Comfort working under tight deadlines in a fast-moving, dynamic environment

You Will…

  • Take Initiative: You approach big, ambiguous problems with confidence, curiosity, and a bias toward action—ready to roll up your sleeves and build.

  • Practice Radical Collaboration: You believe collaboration goes beyond meetings. You actively build trust, shared ownership, and momentum across disciplines, modeling generosity and accountability.

  • Build Deep Empathy for Clients and Users: You listen closely, step into others’ perspectives, and use those insights as the foundation for meaningful, innovative design solutions.

    Why Philo Ventures?
Philo Ventures is a venture capital firm where designers sit at the center of company-building. You’ll work across multiple projects at once, helping shape brands, products, and experiences from day one.

We value curiosity over ego, clarity over noise, and collaboration over silos. Our team is hands-on, deeply invested in craft, and excited by the messy early stages of building something new. If you’re energized by variety, ownership, and real impact, you’ll feel at home here.
