This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to practice at the highest level—<strong>without billable hour quotas</strong>—in a supportive and collaborative environment that emphasizes client service and professional autonomy.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>This role is ideal for a <strong>seasoned employment law litigator</strong> or <strong>counselor</strong> with at least 8 years of experience, who is ready to move into a leadership-level position. Candidates should have significant experience representing employers in California and federal employment matters, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and generate business. A <strong>portable book of business is great but not required</strong>, and the firm offers full support to help further develop and expand your practice.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Advise employers on a wide range of employment law issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, leaves of absence, discipline, and termination</li><li>Defend employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class/PAGA actions in state and federal court</li><li>Handle administrative agency matters (DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE)</li><li>Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits</li><li>Draft employment policies, handbooks, contracts, and separation agreements</li><li>Develop and lead training sessions for employers on HR compliance and risk management</li><li>Collaborate with other senior attorneys and firm leadership to expand client relationships and build the practice</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>J.D. from a top-tier law school</li><li>Active member in good standing with the California State Bar</li><li><strong>8+ years of relevant labor & employment defense experience</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Salary and Other Compensation:</strong></p><p>The annual salary for this position is between [$300,000 – $400,000 annually].
