The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for part-time Food and Beverage Crew Members to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Food and Beverage Crew Member, you will be responsible for helping to bring the epic story of the U.S. space program to life. 

Pay $16.23 - $16.23 / hour

What will you do?
  • Handling, chopping, assembling, and serving a wide variety of foods.
  • Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment, including that used for food service.
  • Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security.
  • Regularly interact with guests to meet and exceed our guests' expectations.
  • You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry. 
  • After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments.
  • Drive a company vehicle as needed.
  • Perform similar duties as directed.
More about you
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Prior cooking experience preferred but not required.  
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. 
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours.
  • Must be able to pass a Delaware North and NASA background check and receive a NASA ID badge.
  • Must be able to obtain a food handlers' certification.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work.
Physical requirements
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
  • Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
  • Includes indoor and outdoor work environments.
